How to Install

Important: Torchlight II stores each character as its own folder named after that character. Copy the included folder in as a new character rather than overwriting one you want to keep — there's no in-game character rename or merge if you copy over the wrong one.

1
Close Steam and Torchlight II completely.
2
Navigate to Documents\My Games\Runic Games\Torchlight 2\save\.
3
Backup your existing character folders by copying them to your desktop.
4
Download and extract the .zip file, then copy the character folder into that save directory.
5
Launch Torchlight II through Steam.
6
From the character select screen, choose the newly added character.
7
Your level 100 build with full endgame progress and gear loads in immediately.

About New Game+: Torchlight II's Netherrealm New Game+ mode raises enemy difficulty and loot tiers while keeping your character's level and gear. This save has already cleared it, so the character carries endgame-tier equipment appropriate for further high-difficulty runs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Torchlight II save file safe to use?
Yes. It's a plain local character folder with no server-side account data attached, so it only affects your own local game files.
Where is the Torchlight II save file located on PC?
At Documents\My Games\Runic Games\Torchlight 2\save\, inside a folder named after the character. Steam App ID 200710.
Does this include New Game+ / Netherrealm progress?
Yes, the Netherrealm New Game+ cycle has already been cleared on this character.
Can I use this save with the Synergies mod or other mods?
This is a vanilla-compatible base save. It loads fine in an unmodded install; heavily modded runs (like Synergies) may not fully recognize every flag, since mods can add their own item/skill data.
Will this overwrite my existing characters?
No — it's added as a new character folder alongside your existing ones. Your other characters are untouched unless you copy over a folder with the same name.
Does this include the Shared Stash?
The character folder includes that character's personal stash tab. The account-wide Shared Stash is stored separately and isn't included.
Does this work on Steam Deck?
Yes, the save format is identical, though the folder path under Proton sits inside the compatdata prefix rather than a plain Windows user folder.
About Torchlight II

Torchlight II is an action role-playing hack-and-slash game developed by Runic Games and released in September 2012 as the sequel to 2009's Torchlight. Players choose from four classes — Engineer, Outlander, Berserker, and Embermage — and fight through randomized dungeons and overworld zones collecting procedurally generated loot, in a structure clearly indebted to Diablo II, whose lead designers founded Runic Games.

Unlike its predecessor, Torchlight II features a full overworld to explore between dungeon crawls, four-player online and LAN co-op, and a much larger post-game with the Netherrealm New Game+ system for players who want to keep gearing up after the main campaign's four Acts are complete.

The game was praised on release for its generous, free modding support (via the included GUTS editor and Steam Workshop) and its lack of any subscription or microtransactions, and it went on to sell several million copies, cementing it as one of the most respected budget ARPGs of its generation.
