About Green Hell

Green Hell is a survival game developed by Creepy Jar, released in full in 2019 after Early Access. Players take on the role of Jake Higgins, an anthropologist stranded in the Amazon rainforest, whose story mode alternates between wilderness survival and therapy-session flashbacks that reveal what happened to his wife, Mia.

The game leans hard into simulation-grade survival mechanics: a detailed body health system tracking wounds, parasites, and mental state, an in-depth crafting tree built around real rainforest materials, and a hand-drawn survival guide the player fills in themselves as they discover new plants, insects, and recipes.

Alongside the narrative Story mode, Green Hell offers a separate Spirits of Amazonia sandbox campaign and free-roam Survival mode.
