How to Install

Important: Far Cry 3 saves are handled by Ubisoft Connect, not Steam. Turn off Ubisoft Connect cloud sync and back up your existing 46 folder first, otherwise the launcher may replace the new save with your cloud copy.

1
Download and extract the .zip file to your desktop.
2
Open Ubisoft Connect → Settings → General and disable cloud save synchronization.
3
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\ and open the folder with your Ubisoft user ID (a long string of letters and numbers).
4
Open the 46 folder (Far Cry 3's game ID) and back up its contents.
5
Copy the downloaded save files into the 46 folder and confirm overwrite.
6
Launch Far Cry 3 and choose Continue.

If you have more than one folder inside savegames, pick the one that already contains a 46 subfolder — that is the account you play Far Cry 3 on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Far Cry 3 save file safe to use?
Yes. The campaign is single-player and the save only contains local progress. There is no anti-cheat, and the separate co-op mode is not affected.
Where is the Far Cry 3 save file located on PC?
Both Steam and Ubisoft Connect copies save through Ubisoft Connect: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<ubisoft-user-id>\46\.
Does it work with the Classic Edition?
No. Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is a separate release with its own game ID. This save is for the original PC version sold on Steam and Ubisoft Connect.
Does it work with the Blood Dragon spin-off?
No. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a standalone game with its own save system. This save only covers the main Far Cry 3 campaign.
Can I still do side activities after loading?
Yes. The world stays open after the story, so you can hunt, race, play poker or replay outposts using the outpost reset option in the menu.
Why does Ubisoft Connect overwrite the save?
Ubisoft Connect syncs Far Cry 3 saves to its own cloud. Open Ubisoft Connect → Settings → General and untick Enable cloud save synchronization for supported games before copying the files, then launch the game once offline or with sync still disabled.
About Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 is an open-world first-person shooter from Ubisoft Montreal, released in 2012. A vacation goes wrong when Jason Brody and his friends are kidnapped by pirates on the Rook Islands, and Jason has to turn from a scared tourist into a warrior to save them — under the watchful eye of the unforgettable villain Vaas Montenegro.

The game established the formula the series still uses today: climb radio towers to reveal the map, liberate outposts stealthily or loudly, hunt wildlife to craft bigger pouches and holsters, and grow stronger through a tattoo-based skill tree. Its tropical setting and story are still considered among the best in the franchise.

Tracking down all 120 relics and every letter across two islands is a long grind. This save delivers a fully cleared Rook Islands with every skill and upgrade, perfect for free-roaming or replaying outposts with the full arsenal.
