How to Install

Important: Back up your SaveData folder before replacing anything, and disable Steam Cloud for Borderlands 2 or Steam will put your old saves back on launch.

Download and extract the .zip file to your desktop.

In Steam, right-click Borderlands 2 → Properties → General and turn off Steam Cloud.

Press Win + R, type %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\SaveData\ and press Enter.

Open the folder named with a long number (your Steam ID) and back up the existing .sav files.

Copy the downloaded Save000X.sav files into that folder. If a file with the same number already exists, rename the new one to an unused number (e.g. Save0010.sav).

Launch Borderlands 2, choose Character Select and pick any of the six Vault Hunters.

Each Vault Hunter is a separate .sav file, so you can install just the characters you want and keep your own. Overpower levels are unlocked on every save, so you can jump straight into OP10 Digistruct Peak runs.

Only if they use the same file number. Rename any conflicting file (e.g. Save0001.sav → Save0010.sav) and both will show up in Character Select.

Badass Rank is stored per profile rather than per character, so it is not transferred by the character saves. All gear, levels and mission progress are included.

Why does my old progress still load?

Steam Cloud most likely restored your old files. Disable Steam Cloud for Borderlands 2, copy the saves again and relaunch.
