How to Install

Important: The save file is named with your unique Steam ID prefix (16 digits). You must rename the downloaded file to match your existing save file name exactly, or the game will not recognize it. Disable Steam Cloud before installing, and back up your existing save first.

1
In Steam, right-click Deep Rock Galactic → Properties → General → disable Steam Cloud.
2
Navigate to your DRG save folder: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\FSD\Saved\SaveGames\ (paste this into Windows Explorer or press Win + R and type %localappdata%\FSD\Saved\SaveGames)
3
IMPORTANT: Look at your existing save file name. It will be something like 1234567890123456_Player.sav. Write down or copy the 16-digit number at the beginning — this is your Steam ID.
4
Backup your existing _Player.sav file by copying it to your desktop.
5
Download and extract the .zip file. Rename the extracted .sav file to exactly match your Steam ID: [YourSteamID]_Player.sav
6
Copy the renamed file into your SaveGames folder, replacing the old one.
7
Launch Deep Rock Galactic. Your character will load with Legendary rank, all overclocks, and all cosmetics. Rock and Stone!

Steam ID naming: Deep Rock Galactic ties save files to your unique Steam account ID (SteamID64). The game will ignore any save file that doesn't have the correct 16-digit prefix matching your account. You can find your Steam ID by checking your existing save file name or using an online Steam ID lookup tool. The save contains all progression data: class levels, unlocked overclocks, equipped loadouts, cosmetic ownership, perk selections, completed assignments, Credits, minerals, and achievement flags.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Deep Rock Galactic save file safe to use?
Yes. Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op PvE game with no competitive PvP modes. Save files only affect your personal progression (rank, unlocks, cosmetics) and are stored locally. Using a downloaded save does not interfere with other players, does not trigger anti-cheat, and carries zero risk to your Steam account.
Where is the Deep Rock Galactic save file location on PC?
Saves are at C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\FSD\Saved\SaveGames\. The main save file is named with your 16-digit Steam ID followed by _Player.sav (example: 76561198012345678_Player.sav). Steam App ID 548430. If Steam Cloud is enabled, a backup copy syncs to Steam's cloud servers.
Are all weapon overclocks unlocked?
Yes. Every weapon overclock for all 4 classes is unlocked. This includes Driller (Cryo Cannon, Flamethrower, Corrosive Sludge Pump, Subata, EPC), Scout (Assault Rifle, M1000 Classic, Drak-25 Plasma Carbine, Jury-Rigged Boomstick, Zhukov NUK17), Gunner (Minigun, Autocannon, Hurricane, Bulldog, BRT7 Burst Fire, Coil Gun), and Engineer (Warthog, Stubby, Lok-1, Breach Cutter, PGL, Shard Diffractor). All Clean, Balanced, and Unstable overclocks are available including meta picks like Fat Boy, Burning Hell, Hipster, Bullets of Mercy, Hyper Propellant, and Cryo Minelets.
What is Legendary rank in Deep Rock Galactic?
After reaching Player Rank 100, you unlock the ability to "retire" to Legendary status. This resets your rank number to 1 but adds a star icon next to your name, and can be repeated infinitely (Legendary 1, Legendary 2, Legendary 3, etc.). Each Legendary promotion represents 100 additional player levels. Legendary 3+ means the account has completed at least 300 total player levels, demonstrating hundreds of hours of gameplay. Legendary rank is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay.
Are all cosmetics unlocked?
Yes. All earnable cosmetic items are unlocked, including every armor paint job, weapon skin, weapon framework, headwear (hats, helmets), facial hair (beards, mustaches, sideburns), victory poses, pickaxe parts (head, shaft, pommel), flare modifications, and armor meshes. Cosmetics that require real-money DLC purchase (such as certain Supporter Pack skins or Season Pass exclusive items) are NOT included in the base save but can be purchased separately if desired. All base game and free Season Pass cosmetics are fully unlocked.
Will using this save affect my friends or multiplayer?
No. Your save file is entirely client-side and only affects your own account progression. When you join friends or public lobbies, other players will see your Legendary rank, equipped cosmetics, and class promotions, but your unlocked overclocks and cosmetics do not transfer to them. Deep Rock Galactic has no PvP or competitive ranking system, so there is no unfair advantage. Your progression is purely personal.
What are the hardest achievements in Deep Rock Galactic?
The most difficult achievements require significant time investment and skill: "What Does the Scanner Say?" (scanning all creature types across every biome and mission variant), "Golden Boy" (reaching Legendary 3+ rank, requiring 300+ player levels), completing Elite Deep Dives solo on all hazard levels, finishing 500+ missions for various milestone achievements, and unlocking all weapon overclocks through Machine Events and core hunts. Many achievements also require specific mission types or biome conditions that only appear on weekly rotation.
About Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic is a cooperative first-person shooter developed by Ghost Ship Games, released in May 2020 after two years in Early Access. Players take the role of space dwarves working for the titular mining corporation, diving into procedurally generated cave systems on planet Hoxxes IV to extract precious minerals while fighting off swarms of hostile alien bugs. The game features 4 distinct classes — Driller (area control and tunneling), Scout (mobility and lighting), Gunner (heavy firepower and shields), Engineer (turrets and platforms) — each with unique tools, weapons, and traversal abilities that encourage teamwork.

Progression is driven by two parallel systems: Player Rank (account-wide level gained from all mission XP) and Class Promotions (earned by leveling individual classes to 25 and completing an assignment). After Player Rank 100, you can repeatedly promote to Legendary status. The core endgame chase is weapon overclocks — powerful modifications unlocked through Machine Events (in-mission objectives), core hunts, and weekly Deep Dives. Overclocks come in three tiers: Clean (pure bonuses), Balanced (tradeoffs), and Unstable (extreme stat swings), with some completely changing weapon behavior (e.g., Fat Boy turns the Engineer's grenade launcher into a nuclear weapon).

Deep Rock Galactic uses a seasonal model with major content updates every few months, adding new mission types, biomes, weapons, enemies, and cosmetics. Season 5 introduced the Gunner's Coil Gun and Engineer's Shard Diffractor. The game features extensive customization: every class has 6-8 primary/secondary weapons, each with 5-6 overclocks, plus dozens of armor paint jobs, weapon skins, victory poses, and character customization options. Achieving 100% completion requires unlocking all 120+ overclocks, reaching Legendary 3+ rank (300+ total levels), collecting every earnable cosmetic, completing all Deep Dives, and finishing every achievement — a commitment of 200-400+ hours. The community motto "Rock and Stone!" is spammable via the salute button and represents the game's friendly, cooperative spirit.
