Important: PAYDAY 2 uses Steam Cloud by default. Disable it before replacing your save, or your new file may get overwritten on next launch. Back up your existing save folder first.

Close Steam and PAYDAY 2 completely.

In Steam, right-click PAYDAY 2 → Properties → General → disable Steam Cloud.
