Important: BioShock Infinite uses a single auto-save slot with a unique filename. You cannot simply drop the save file in — you must match the filename to what the game generates for your account. Follow all steps carefully. Disable Steam Cloud before starting.
[Steam]\userdata\[your-steam-id]\8870\remote\SaveData\. Delete or move any existing .sav and .bkm files out of this folder.SaveData\. You will see a freshly created .sav file with a unique name (e.g. TC_CabRide-0_...). Note the exact full filename including the timestamp..bkm file. Then rename the downloaded save file to exactly match the .sav filename the game just created. Paste the renamed file into SaveData\, overwriting the game's file. Why the extra steps? BioShock Infinite ties its save filename to a map code + timestamp sequence unique to each game session. The game will only load a .sav file whose name matches what it internally expects — dropping in a foreign filename will be ignored. Renaming the downloaded save to match the file your game generates is the only reliable method confirmed by the Steam Community.
[Steam folder]\userdata\[your-steam-id]\8870\remote\SaveData\. The Steam App ID for BioShock Infinite is 8870. Your Steam ID is the numeric folder inside userdata\. The default Steam path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\ — your full path would look like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\12345678\8870\remote\SaveData\..sav filename based on the current map, location and timestamp sequence. The game only loads a save whose filename it internally recognizes — so a downloaded save file with a different name is invisible to the game. You must rename the downloaded file to match whatever filename the game creates for your specific session after a fresh start.BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K Games, released in March 2013. Set in 1912, players control Booker DeWitt — a disgraced Pinkerton agent sent to the floating city of Columbia to rescue a mysterious woman named Elizabeth. The game is acclaimed for its narrative ambition, stunning art direction and the dynamic AI companion system powering Elizabeth, who actively assists in combat by throwing supplies and opening Tears to alternate realities.
The Season Pass includes three DLC packs: Clash in the Clouds, a wave-based combat challenge mode set in Columbia's arenas; Burial at Sea Episode 1, a noir-styled return to Rapture set before the events of the original BioShock; and Burial at Sea Episode 2, a stealth-focused conclusion playing as Elizabeth that ties the entire BioShock trilogy together narratively.
Achieving 100% completion in BioShock Infinite is a multi-playthrough undertaking. The main campaign requires at least two runs — one for collectibles and one for 1999 Mode (or a careful single run using the Konami Code to unlock 1999 Mode from the start). 1999 Mode without Dollar Bill vending machines is one of the hardest challenge achievements in the game, while Burial at Sea Episode 2's 1998 Mode (no kills) and Clash in the Clouds' Blue Ribbon Challenges round out a demanding completionist experience across all 80 achievements.
