How to Install

Important: Palworld ties world saves to a specific Save Slot ID and, on dedicated servers, your SteamID. Back up your existing Level.sav and LevelMeta.sav before overwriting, and make sure the game is fully closed (not just minimized) before copying files.

1
Fully quit Palworld (check Task Manager to confirm Palworld-Win64-Shipping.exe isn't still running).
2
Navigate to your save folder: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\[YourSteamID]\ (press Win + R and paste %localappdata%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames)
3
Inside, find your existing world save folder (a long alphanumeric Save Slot ID) and back it up by copying it to your desktop.
4
Download and extract the .zip file. It contains a full world save folder with Level.sav, LevelMeta.sav, and a Players subfolder.
5
Copy the extracted folder into your SaveGames\[YourSteamID]\ directory, replacing the old save slot (or placing it alongside as a new slot).
6
Launch Palworld, select the new save from the world list, and load in. Your base, Pals, and Paldeck progress will be fully unlocked.

Note: Palworld stores each world as a self-contained save slot, and your individual player data lives in the Players subfolder keyed by a Player UID. On a local single-player world, the folder is keyed by your own SteamID (0 if playing offline); on a dedicated/rented server, an admin would need to drop the world save on the server itself rather than your local client.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Palworld save file safe to use?
Yes. Palworld has no server-side anti-cheat that flags local save files, since single-player and self-hosted worlds are entirely client/server-controlled by you. There is no risk to your Steam account. If you play on a rented dedicated server, this save is for the local single-player/host experience and would need to be applied on the server's own save folder instead.
Where is the Palworld save file location on PC?
Local saves are at C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\[SteamID]\[WorldSaveSlotID]\, containing Level.sav (world state), LevelMeta.sav (world metadata), and a Players folder with one .sav per character. Steam App ID 1623730.
Is the full Paldeck included?
Yes. All 137 base Pal species are logged as caught, including rarer Alpha (boss-sized) and Lucky (all-black, buffed stat) variants encountered in the wild. Human NPCs that function as catchable Pals are also included where applicable.
Are all Tower bosses defeated?
Yes. All 5 Tower bosses (the raid-style bosses unlocked by leveling up, ending with Bellanoir/Bellanoir Libero in the Feybreak update) show as defeated, along with the major field bosses and roaming Alpha Pals across every biome.
Will this work with the Feybreak or Sakurajima expansions?
Yes, this save is built on the v0.5+ Feybreak update and includes progress from the expanded map areas. If you're on an older game version, update Palworld first through Steam before loading the save to avoid version-mismatch errors.
Can I use this save on a multiplayer server?
This save is formatted for local/host play. Dedicated servers store world data server-side in a separate location, so an admin would need to place these files on the server's save directory directly — a normal client connecting to someone else's server cannot import a save this way.
Does this include base building?
Yes. Multiple bases are included, each built out with efficient production chains, high-level Pals assigned to matching work types (handiwork, farming, mining, lumbering, etc.), and defensive structures. Base layouts are functional and optimized rather than purely decorative.
What player level and stats does the save have?
The included character is player level 60 (the current level cap), with skill points allocated across HP, stamina, weight, and work speed, plus a full inventory of crafting materials and endgame ammunition.
About Palworld

Palworld is an open-world survival-crafting game developed by Pocketpair, released in Early Access in January 2024 and rapidly becoming one of the best-selling Steam games of that year thanks to its distinctive mix of Pokémon-style creature collection with base-building, gunplay, and survival mechanics. Players explore the Palpagos Islands capturing creatures called Pals, which can then be assigned to work at bases — farming, mining, crafting, or manning defenses — or brought into combat and even equipped with saddles for mounted travel and aerial combat.

Progression revolves around three interlocking systems: the Paldeck (a Pokédex-style catalog of every Pal species encountered and caught), the technology tree (unlocked via Ancient Technology Points earned from bosses, gating better tools, weapons, and structures), and base development (multiple bases can be built and staffed with Pals suited to specific jobs for automated resource production). Tower bosses provide the game's raid-style endgame challenges, each requiring a well-built team of high-level Pals and strong gear to clear.

Since launch, Pocketpair has shipped major content updates including Sakurajima (a new snow/volcanic region) and Feybreak (a fantasy-themed expansion with new Pals, bosses, and the endgame Bellanoir raid line). Reaching full completion means catching every Pal variant across all regions, maxing the tech tree, clearing every Tower and field boss, and building out efficient, fully-staffed bases — a project that spans well over 100 hours for most players.
