How to Install

Important: Back up your current save folder before replacing it, and disable Steam Cloud for Metro 2033 Redux temporarily so it does not restore your old progress.

Download and extract the .zip file to your desktop.

Open your save folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[Steam ID]\286690\remote\ (current version). Older installs use C:\Users\[Name]\Documents\4A Games\Metro 2033\[User ID]\ instead.

Backup the existing files in that folder by copying them elsewhere.

Paste the extracted save files into the folder and overwrite when prompted.

About Metro 2033 Redux

Metro 2033 Redux is the 2014 remaster of 4A Games' first-person shooter Metro 2033, based on the novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky. After a nuclear war, the last survivors of Moscow live in the metro tunnels under the dead city. You play Artyom, a young man from Exhibition station who is sent across the metro to warn the others about a new threat called the Dark Ones.

The game mixes tense shooting with survival. Military-grade ammo is also the currency, gas mask filters run out on the surface and mutants hide in every dark tunnel. Redux rebuilt the game in the Last Light engine with better visuals, improved stealth and a Survival and Spartan play style.
