How to Install

Important: Core Keeper saves are tied to your SteamID64, and the world file only loads correctly inside the matching numbered folder — always back up your existing Slot1 folder before replacing it, especially if you're playing in an active co-op world with friends.

1
Close Core Keeper completely, and if you play co-op, make sure no one else is hosting or connected to the world you're replacing.
2
In Steam, right-click Core Keeper → Properties → General → disable Steam Cloud so it doesn't sync your old world back over the new one.
3
Navigate to C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\LocalLow\Pugstorm\Core Keeper\Steam\ and open the folder matching your SteamID64.
4
Backup your existing Slot1 folder by copying it elsewhere.
5
Download and extract the .zip file, then copy the included save folder in, replacing your existing Slot1 folder.
6
Launch Core Keeper and load the world from that slot. Every boss, biome, and skill will already be complete.

World save format: Core Keeper stores each world as a folder containing the world database (terrain, structures, chests) plus a Players subfolder tracking individual character skills and inventory. This save includes a fully explored, fully cleared world along with a maxed-out character, so hosting it for co-op will show all bosses as defeated for anyone who joins.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Core Keeper save file safe to use, including in co-op?
Yes. Core Keeper is primarily offline/self-hosted co-op with no central server tracking your progress, so a downloaded world save only affects the local world file. It won't get you banned or flagged, and friends who join your world will simply see it fully completed.
Where is the Core Keeper save file located on PC?
Saves live at C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Pugstorm\Core Keeper\Steam\[SteamID64]\Slot1\, containing the world database and a Players subfolder. Steam App ID 1621690.
Are all bosses really defeated in this save?
Yes. All main bosses — Glurch the Abominable Mass, The Ghorm, Morpheus, Igneous the Chthonic Devourer, The Hive Mother, Malugaz the Corrupted, and Ra-Akar the Sand Titan — are marked as defeated, along with any Titan-tier boss encounters from later content updates.
Will this overwrite my current world permanently?
Only if you replace the Slot1 folder directly. To keep both, rename your existing folder to something like Slot2 before copying the new save in, or use a different numbered slot if the game supports multiple save slots on your version.
Does this work with multiplayer/dedicated servers?
This save is built for the standard Steam self-hosted co-op setup (one player hosts, others join via Steam). It has not been tested against third-party dedicated server tools, which may store world data differently.
Are all skill levels really maxed?
Yes — Mining, Melee, Ranged, Magic, Summoning, Cooking, and Fishing are all at their level cap, giving full damage, defense, and gathering bonuses across the board.
What's included in the Tech Tree progress?
The entire Scanner tech tree is unlocked, meaning every craftable item, workstation, and upgrade tier the game offers is available to build immediately, without needing to scan additional resource nodes.
Do I need any DLC for this save to load correctly?
No. This save is built on the base game plus free content updates only — no paid DLC is required for it to load or for the included content to appear.
About Core Keeper

Core Keeper is a top-down sandbox survival game developed by the Swedish studio Pugstorm, released into early access in March 2022 and hitting full 1.0 release in 2024. Players wake up in a vast, procedurally generated underground world after being resurrected by a mysterious ancient Core, and must dig, build, farm, and fight their way outward — think Terraria's crafting and boss-progression loop, but viewed from above and set entirely underground, with a cozy pixel-art aesthetic.

The core loop revolves around exploring outward from the starting biome, unlocking new tools and gear through the Scanner's tech tree, and defeating a sequence of increasingly powerful bosses that each guard access to a new biome and set of resources. Along the way, players develop farms, automated mining operations, and elaborate base decorations, while a skill system tracks and rewards repeated use of combat styles and gathering tools. The game supports up to 8-player online co-op, with one player's machine typically hosting the shared world.

Since launch, Pugstorm has continued adding free content updates introducing new biomes like Azeos' Wilderness, additional Titan-tier boss fights, cooking and fishing systems, and quality-of-life improvements. A fully "100%" world means every boss defeated, every biome lit up and mapped, the entire tech tree unlocked, and every character skill maxed — a milestone that typically takes 60-100+ hours of underground digging, farming, and boss fights to reach legitimately.
