How to Install

Important: Slime Rancher saves are stored per numbered slot rather than a Steam ID, so no renaming is required — but disable Steam Cloud before installing and back up your existing save first, since the game autosaves frequently and could sync your old save back over the imported one.

1
In Steam, right-click Slime Rancher → Properties → General → disable Steam Cloud.
2
Navigate to the save folder: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\LocalLow\Monomi Park\Slime Rancher\SavedGames\ (paste into Windows Explorer, or press Win + R and type %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Monomi Park\Slime Rancher\SavedGames)
3
Backup your existing save slot file(s) by copying them to your desktop.
4
Download and extract the .zip file. It contains a .sixgm save slot file.
5
Copy the extracted file into the SavedGames folder, matching the slot number you want to overwrite (or use an empty slot to keep your original save).
6
Launch Slime Rancher and select the corresponding save slot from the main menu. Your ranch will load fully built out with every slime type available.

Save slot naming: Slime Rancher stores each save as a numbered slot file (matching the save slots shown on the main menu) rather than tying it to your Steam ID, so the imported file just needs to go into whichever slot number you want it to appear in. The save contains full ranch and world state: discovered slime types (including largos and Gordos), ranch layout and corral upgrades, unlocked map regions, Slimepedia entries, currency, and Ancient Ruins puzzle completion.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Slime Rancher save file safe to use?
Yes. Slime Rancher is a fully singleplayer game with no online multiplayer, competitive leaderboards, or anti-cheat systems tied to save data. Loading a downloaded save only affects your local game and poses no risk to your Steam account.
Where is the Slime Rancher save file location on PC?
Saves are stored at C:\\Users\\[Username]\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Monomi Park\\Slime Rancher\\SavedGames\\ as .sixgm files named by slot number. Steam App ID 433340.
Are all slime types discovered, including largos and Gordos?
Yes. Every base slime type is discovered and actively ranched, every largo (hybrid slime) combination has been created at least once, and every Gordo slime variant has been found and popped for its bonus resources.
Is the whole map unlocked?
Yes, all regions are unlocked from the starting Dry Reef and Ranch area through The Indigo Quarry, The Moss Blanket, The Ancient Ruins, The Slime Sea, and Ogden's Retreat, including the areas that normally require specific upgrades (like the jetpack or rocket) to reach.
How developed is the ranch itself?
The ranch includes every corral and plot upgrade tier, incinerators, gardens for growing produce, and all the automation/expansion upgrades purchasable from the in-game Market, so slime and resource production runs smoothly without manual babysitting.
Is the Slimepedia fully filled in?
Yes, every Slimepedia entry (the game's in-world encyclopedia covering slimes, plants, and lore) has already been unlocked by discovering and interacting with the corresponding creature or item at least once.
Does this save work with the Ogden's Wander DLC content?
The save includes Ogden's Retreat, which shipped as part of a free content update rather than paid DLC, so it should be accessible on any current copy of the game. If you own additional paid DLC, its content becomes available going forward but isn't retroactively built into this save.
Can I still enjoy exploring and ranching after loading this save?
Absolutely — with everything discovered and unlocked, you're free to just enjoy the relaxing ranching loop, experiment with largo combinations, and decorate your ranch without needing to grind through the early unlock progression again.
About Slime Rancher

Slime Rancher is a first-person sandbox farming/collection game developed by Monomi Park, released in 2017 for PC. Players take the role of Beatrix LeBeau, a rancher who travels to the distant Far, Far Range to build a slime-ranching business, using a vacuum-based tool (the Vacpack) to collect and manage various types of colorful slimes, feed them, and collect the resources they produce for profit.

The core gameplay loop combines light farming-sim mechanics (growing produce to feed slimes, building and upgrading corrals) with exploration of an open world divided into distinct biome regions, each home to different slime types and hidden secrets. A key mechanic is 'largo' slimes — hybrid creatures created when two different slime types eat each other, combining their traits and resource outputs, which encourages experimentation with ranch layout to safely combine different species without them eating your other slimes (or each other) uncontrollably.

100% completion in Slime Rancher means discovering every base slime and largo combination, popping every Gordo (giant slime) variant, filling out the full Slimepedia, unlocking every map region including the harder-to-reach Slime Sea and Ogden's Retreat areas, and building out a fully upgraded ranch. It's a comparatively relaxed, low-stakes game with an approachable difficulty curve, making a full playthrough to 100% typically take 25-40 hours depending on how much time is spent decorating and experimenting versus rushing progression.
