How to Install

Important: Disable Steam Cloud for The Last of Us Part II Remastered before installing to prevent it from overwriting the new save. Back up your existing savedata folder. Note: manual saves are numbered one unit higher in-game than their actual file — Manual Save 3 in-game corresponds to SAVEFILE02 on disk.

In Steam, right-click The Last of Us Part II Remastered → Properties → General → disable Steam Cloud.

Download and extract the .zip file to your desktop. You will get a savedata folder containing multiple SAVEFILEXX folders.

Navigate to your save folder using Windows Run (Win + R): %USERPROFILE%\Documents\The Last of Us Part II\[your-steam-id]\savedata\

Backup your existing savedata folder by copying it to your desktop.

No Return is the roguelike survival mode exclusive to the Remastered version. Players choose a path through randomized encounters — Assault, Hunted, Holdout and Capture — before facing a boss. The PC version features 12 playable characters: 10 from the PS5 version plus Bill and Marlene added specifically for PC. The Roll Call achievement requires completing a run with every character. No Return also has 13 of the game's 45 achievements tied to it, including completing specific Gambits and encounter types.

Why does 100% require New Game+?

NG+ is needed for two specific achievements: Survival Expert (max all skill upgrades) and Arms Master (max all weapon mods). The total supplements and parts required to fully upgrade everything exceed what is available in a single playthrough. NG+ carries over all resources and upgrades, allowing you to hit the maximum caps. NG+ is also the recommended approach for Grounded — completing it with a fully upgraded character and arsenal.

Yes. Tested on the latest available PC patch as of April 2026.
