How to Install

Important: Disable Steam Cloud for Horizon Forbidden West before installing to prevent it from overwriting the new save. Back up your existing save folder. If you use OneDrive, your saves may redirect to OneDrive\Documents\Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition\[steam-id]\ instead of the standard Documents path.

In Steam, right-click Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition → Properties → General → disable Steam Cloud.

Download and extract the .zip file to your desktop.

Are there any missable achievements?

Yes — two: scanning the Specter (only appears in certain story missions and the Kotallo side quest "What Was Lost") and the Specter Prime (the final boss of the main story in the Singularity mission). Unlike Horizon Zero Dawn, the final mission in Forbidden West cannot be replayed — if you miss the Specter Prime scan, you would need to complete a full NG+ run to get another chance. Both are scanned in this save. Nothing else is missable — full free-roam is available after the story.

Why is New Game+ required for 100%?

Three achievements require NG+: New Game+ Completed, Ultra Hard Completed (finish NG+ on the hardest difficulty), and Obtained All New Game+ Rewards (purchase all NG+-exclusive weapons, dyes and face paints using Champion Tokens — a currency exclusive to NG+ that you earn by completing quests, Tallnecks, Rebel Camps and other activities). Champion Tokens are not available in a regular playthrough, making NG+ mandatory.
