Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Dark Souls Remastered save file safe to use?
Yes, but only in offline mode. FromSoftware's anti-cheat can detect modified saves online and issue a soft ban. Always launch Steam offline before loading this save to avoid any risk.
Which endings are included?
Both endings are included in separate save slots: Link the Fire (standard ending where you sacrifice yourself to rekindle the flame) and The Dark Lord ending (walk away from the flame and let the age of dark begin). Both require completing the game.
Are all rings collected including rare ones?
Yes. All rings are collected including rare ones that require trading with Snuggly the Crow, completing NPC questlines, or finding hidden locations. The Ring of Fog and Rare Ring of Sacrifice are both included.
What Soul Level is the character?
The character is at Soul Level 710 — effectively max level with all stats at 99. All equipment is at maximum upgrade level including +15 standard weapons and +5 unique/boss weapons.
Does this work with the original Dark Souls (PTDE)?
No. Dark Souls Remastered and the original Prepare to Die Edition use different save formats and are not compatible. This save is for the Remastered version only.
About Dark Souls Remastered

Dark Souls Remastered is an updated version of the original Dark Souls, developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco, released in May 2018. The remaster brings the landmark 2011 action RPG up to modern standards with 60fps support, improved online functionality and various visual enhancements while preserving the original game completely intact.

Dark Souls is widely credited with creating the "Soulslike" genre — a style of challenging action RPG defined by precise combat, punishing difficulty, environmental storytelling and the iconic "You Died" screen. The game's interconnected world design, where every area loops back to a central hub, remains a masterclass in level design that influenced countless games afterward.

Achieving 100% in Dark Souls Remastered is notoriously complex, requiring multiple playthroughs for covenant items, trading items with Snuggly the Crow across playthroughs, completing all NPC questlines in the correct order, and finding all hidden optional areas including Ash Lake and the Great Hollow.
